Welcome Back
A special page for our Alumni

labFor 45 years, MSOE has been granting business degrees and sending our graduates into the business world prepared to go to work on their first day on the job. For those alumni who have not had an opportunity to visit our campus in recent years, you will be pleased to know that we now have our own building and have been named - Rader School of Business, in honor of Dr. Andrew "Tiny" Rader, MSOE Regent Emeritus, former chairman of The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, and former chairman and CEO of Allen-Bradley. Dr. Rader has been a long time supporter of the business degree programs at MSOE and was instrumental in arranging a $6 million grant from the Bradley Foundation to support student scholarships.

We invite you to visit us whenever you are in the area to reacquaint yourself with MSOE and see the Rader School of Business. In the meantime, here are some links that you may find interesting.

Update Knowledge

MSOE offers several ways in which you can keep current on business and management topics. One way is through the Rader School of Business professional development programs . These programs provide the latest information on such subjects as Lean manufacturing, project management, and various technical certificate programs. Another way is through certificates, short courses and seminars on business-related topics.

Engaging an Intern in Your Business

Student internships provide companies with an opportunity to directly participate in the educational process. It's a "win-win" situation. Students get invaluable experience in the workplace and companies get highly motivated employees who have the skills for the modern business world. It is not surprising that many of the student interns are later hired by the companies. Companies that have participated in the student internship program include:

  • Bosch Automation Technology
  • Brady Corp.
  • Caterpillar
  • Compaq Computer
  • Eaton Corp.
  • Froedtert Hospital
  • Harley-Davidson
  • IBM
  • S.C. Johnson
  • Kimberly-Clark
  • Marshfield Medical Research Foundation
  • Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District
  • Northwestern Mutual
  • Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley
  • UPS

For more information on the internship program, contact the internship coordinator at the Rader School of Business or call (414) 277-7279.

Advanced Degree Programs

The Rader School of Business offers two advanced degrees - one in engineering management and the other in medical informatics. The Master of Science degree in Engineering Management ( MSEM ) specifically meets the needs of those with technical degrees who are interested in moving into management. Think of it as an "MBA for engineers." Recently, a 18-month accelerated version of the program has been introduced. The Master of Science degree in Medical Informatics ( MSMI ) is a joint effort with the Medical College of Wisconsin and encompasses the juncture of medicine, business and information technology.
