CSEC LaboratoryThe CSEC Laboratory, located in room SG-100 of the Fred F. Loock Engineering Center, has approximately 2,100 square feet of floor space and a clear height of 36 feet. There is a large door for truck access and an overhead crane with two 5-ton trolleys. Specialized, adaptable structural testing systems can produce loads from 50 to 500,000 pounds on specimens from 4 inches to 24 feet tall. All test systems include computerized data acquisition, and the lab has a wide array of transducers for measuring force, displacement, and strain.
