The Department of Architectural Engineering and Building Construction offers a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering, a bachelor of science degree in construction management, a master of science degree in structural engineering and a master of science degree in environmental engineering.

The MSOE Design Build Team placed second in the nation in the AGC/ASC 2006-2007 National Competition in San Antonio.

Concentration is in building construction, economics, methodology, management, and construction management and design (architectural, environmental and structural). The department uses various technical facilities to support the specialization, including CAD laboratories, AE-dedicated microcomputer laboratory, senior AE student design studios, energy systems laboratory, strength of materials laboratory, construction materials laboratory, and structural/construction testing laboratory.
