In our Learning Resource Center, we offer assistance to all students seeking additional English-related support. This is a free service available to all degree-seeking students at MSOE. To learn more about the Learning Resource Center, please go to www.msoe.edu/st_life/lrc/. Students who score between 173-212 computer based (500-549 paper based) on the TOEFL, which is below the regular acceptance TOEFL score, may enroll in the English Language undergraduate program (ESL program) at MSOE. Students admitted to MSOE in the ESL program will begin classes at MSOE by taking one speaking/listening English course and one reading/writing English course per term for a total of three terms, along with two courses within their chosen MSOE major. After students have satisfactorily completed all six ESL courses and obtained satisfactory grades in all the MSOE courses in their first year of study, the students will be able to continue studying classes within their major. Due to the design of this program, it may take longer than four years to graduate in this program.
