Accreditations and Affiliations

MSOE's Accreditation

The two major types of accreditation agencies in the United States are regional associations and professional associations. These associations are independent of the government, and are comprised of respected educators and professionals. Teams of specialists from associations visit colleges and universities regularly to evaluate and report on their quality.

MSOE is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA, 30 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2400, Chicago, IL 60602, (312) 263-0456).

The baccalaureate program in nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036; phone (202) 887-6791 and has full approval of the Wisconsin Board of Regulation and Licensing, 1400 E. Washington, Madison, WI, 53703.

The baccalaureate program in construction management is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), 1300 Hudson Lane, Suite 3, Monroe LA 71201-6054; phone: (318) 323-2816.

The master of science in perfusion is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), 35 East Wacker Dr., Suite 1970, Chicago, IL 60601-2208.

MSOE holds institutional membership in the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the American Society for Engineering Education , the College Entrance Examination Board, the College Scholarship Service Assembly, the National Collegiate Athletic Association -Division III, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, Associated Schools of Construction, the College Board, and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.

MSOE is also a member of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, visit Milwaukee convention and visitors bureau, East Town Association and the Better Business Bureau of Greater Milwaukee.
